The Secondary Data - Member Information screen is used to define secondary parts for entire walls or roofs.

Including: Girts, Purlins, Eave Purlins, Bar Joists, Jambs, Headers, 3 Plate Girts…

This data is the original result of Run - Secondary Design & Detailing.

The frames are numbered from left to right on the wall or roof as viewed from the outside of the shape.

The building lines are "0".

  How to use:

The members in the 1st bay start at the building line "0" and end at the second frame line "2".

Select a vertical range of secondary members.

Input the elevation at or below the lowest secondary member and at the elevation at or above the highest secondary member.

Refresh

Updates the Secondary List to only view the range defined.

Secondary List

Use the list to view or revise the secondary marks numbers or properties.

  Warning:

Use caution when revising the elevations of continuous secondary members. The software does not check if you move 1 girt in a string.

Adjust 1 & 2:               Detailed dimensions from the frame line (FL) or building line (BL).
Continuous Girts display as 0/0/0. On standard parts, the lap is defined by the Base Mark number, on special parts the lap is defined in Properties.

  How to use:

When revising the Adjust 1 or 2, the Base Mark will be deleted, leave it blank.

After pressing OK, re-detail the surface "Yes".

Any special hole locations for connections to the frame will be detailed automatically.

  How to use:

If checked, a Cee will be detailed 1 1/2" smaller than the main Zee.

2.)    Auto Design only will use Nested at Simple Zee's.

  How to use:

If checked, an additional Zee will be detailed matching the thickness of the main secondary member.

All additional clips and hardware are added automatically.

1.)   On a Wall, the Composite will be located 8 5/8" above the main girt.

2.)   On a Roof, the Composite will be located 8 5/8" below the main purlin.
At a Low Eave, the Composite will be located 8 5/8" above the main eave purlin.

Flip:                                Checked when the member orientation is flipped.

At Framed Openings, the right jamb will be flipped by default.

  How to use:

If checked, the secondary member is detailed flipped by 180 degrees.
