The
Secondary Data - Properties screen is used to define the secondary connection
and conditions on Special Secondary Parts.
The
Connection Search options helps reduce the number of details that are displayed
in the "Details…" button.
How to use:
When searching for a new detail,
it may be easier to filter just using the Surface, Member, Shape, and Depth.
Set the Lap, Clip, and Connections
to "Not Applicable".
Selected
Data from List:
The detail selected should match the
condition required.
Defines the Secondary to Secondary Clip
requirements for the connection.
How to use:
Do not locate the Secondary to
Frame clips on this screen, they should be located in Frame - Data.
Locations of interior connections.
Nominal Locations are from the end of the
input segment locations not including adjustments (Sample: From the Building
Line).
Detailed Locations are from the end of the
actual detailed member including adjustments (Sample: Building Line minus
1/4").
Dimension difference from the Nominal segment
length to the final Detailed length.
End 1 or End 2 Laps are defined as 0/0/0 (DO
NOT REVISE). The Lap is defined by the location of the Interior Frame
Locations.
Nominal Laps for Continuous conditions at End
1 or End 2.
List:
(Sample Continuous End 1, Simple End)
The
Connection List locates patterns and connections that occur along the special
secondary member.
A
Lap detail will include all the Lap Holes, Flange Brace Holes, Holes to the
Frame, and End Holes.
How to use:
When defining a Special Secondary
Member, always try to define the actual conditions. (Avoid tricking the
system).
When revising a standard
continuous girt to have a simple lap at one end, re-define the Detail to be
Simple.
List:
(Sample Jamb)
On
Jambs, the Connection List locates connections that occur from End 1 of the
Jamb.
How to use:
The Jamb at End 2 is adjusted by
-3 3/4" for the PG1 Clip Adjustment.
The Header Detail will locate the
holes above the header by +1 5/16".
The Holes and Sub
Units listed are "Read Only", they cannot be revised on this tab.
