Frame Data & Frame Member Data - Hardware

This screen is used to add or modify bolts for:
Frame Member Data - Bolting Plates
Frame Data - Bolted Clips, Flange Braces, Bolted Brackets
and Miscellaneous Plates.

Warning:
Bolting Plates will
contain 1/2 the bolts on each adjoining plate.
Any revisions made to
Hardware will be lost should you Revise the Plate/Clip/Bracket Member after you
have made your changes in Hardware.
Options:
Quantity
In
this edit box insert the required quantity.

How to use:
Frame Member Data - the system will
generate 1/2 of the bolts required on each bolting plate / splice plate.
ASTM
The
ASTM code for the bolts include: A325, A490, and also
Tension Controlled Bolts: F1852, F2280.

Warning:
Additional socket clearances may be
required for TC Bolts.
Size
From
the drop-down list select the required diameter of the bolt.

Warning:
Revising the Bolt Diameter at this level
will not revise the Hole Diameter on the plate.
Length
From
the drop-down list select the required length of the bolt.
Washers Required
Select
this box if washers are required for the bolt.
„
How to use:
The metal Building Manufacture typically
does not supply washers for primary framing connections.
Washers may be supplied at some
connections (Bracing, Portal Frame / Brace, Struts, Flange Brace at Endposts…).
