General - Drag and Drop

The "Drag and Drop" feature can be used to copy User Frame Parts, User Clips, and User Trim Kits within a building file.
Also, the same parts can be copied from one building file to another using "Drag and Drop".

Copying Frames in the Schedule:
Frame Parts can be copied in a job using drag and drop (opening the folder with one click and then dragging the pointer up until it changes).

      How to use:

Click on the Frame in the schedule once so it highlights on your screen.

Then click on it again hold and drag it to the area of Schedule folder and release.

The Tree will automatically refresh.

The part that has been Dragged and Dropped will be in the list twice, the new part is identical to the one that was copied, with a “Copy of” in front of it.

Copying Framed Openings in a Job:
Framed Openings can be copied in a job using drag and drop.

      How to use:

Click on the Frame in the schedule once so it highlights on your screen.

Then click on it again hold and drag it to the area of Schedule folder and release.

The Tree will automatically refresh.

The part that has been Dragged and Dropped will be in the list twice, the new part is identical to the one that was copied, with a “Copy of” in front of it.

Copying User Frame Parts in a Job (User Clips, and User Trim Kits are similar):
User Frame Parts can be copied in a job using drag and drop.

    

      How to use:

Click on the User Frame Parts once so it highlights on your screen.

Then click on it again hold and drag it to the area of User Frame Parts and release.

The Tree will automatically refresh.

The part that has been Dragged and Dropped will be in the list twice, the new part is identical to the one that was copied.

It will be assigned a new mark number after it has been revised.

Copying User Frame Parts from Another Job (User Clips, and User Trim Kits are similar):
User Frame Parts can be copied from one job file to another using drag and drop.

      How to use:

Open the Job that you are working and minimize it to a smaller screen.

Then open the job where the User Frame Part is located and minimize that one also.

Both jobs must be open and visible, as shown.

Click on the User Frame Part from the job you will be copying from once so the part highlights on your screen.

Then click on it again hold and drag it into your current job to the area of User Frame Parts and release.

The tree will automatically refresh.

The part that has been copied will be in the list on the current job, the new part is identical to the one that was copied.

The parts will be renumbered so it does not match any others if they are different.

      Warning:

The entire folder can Dragged and Dropped to the new job file.

But, this will replace the entire existing folder.

If there are any existing User Frame Parts in the job, they will be lost.
