Bracing - Flush Portal Frame

Flush Portal Frames.

· Portal Frame Column Offset of 1/2".

· The centerline of the portal from building line needs to be at 7 5/8” for inset, 1’-0 ½” for 6.5”, and 1’-2 ½” for 8.5” girts.

· Portal Frame Rafter Offset of (Rise Purlin Depth + Approx FS + 5").
Sample: Rise of 8 1/2" + 3/4" + 5" = 1'-2 7/16" Round up = 1'-3"

· Detailing - The Main Frame S3 Stiffener needs to be shortened. Refer to Design Manual 2.13 & 2.13ex.
