Bracing

The Bracing Screen can define the Bracing Type that is desired.

Options:

Bracing Type
On Walls; Braced Bays are used to change the Type (Rods, Portal Brace, Portal Frames, and Wind Posts).
On Roof:  The only bracing type that is available is Diagonal Rods.

Braced Bays
After the Interior Frames are located, the Braced Bay Locations can be revised.

All Bays are counted along Wall 4.

Example:

 Wall 2, Wall 4, and the Roof are all set to having bracing in Bay 1.

 



Diagonal Bracing:

Rods

3/8" - 1 1/2"

- Rod backing plates may be required by design.

Portal Braces:

Beam in Purlin Line

- 3 Plate Beam

- Bolted to Flange

- KBD Angles

- Support Strut

 

-  20'-0" Max Eave Height

-  30'-0" Max Bay

-  Not available in Canada at this time

Portal Frames:

-  8" From Portal Frame Column Flange to Main Frame Web.

 

 

Windpost (WP):

-  11 1/2" From Windpost Frame Column Flange to Main Frame Web.
