LDI Level 1 Week 2 Logistics

Week 2 Information

Here you will find details about the second workshop including information about the weather, travel and more.

Colorado Springs

We’ll be meeting in Colorado Springs, Colorado.  This is a favorite LDI location for many.  You might want to consider bringing your spouse or family and making a vacation out of the trip.

Weather

The weather in Colorado Springs can change and vary greatly.  In June it should be pleasant, but expect some rain and it would be a good idea to pack a jacket.  Click here for a weather forecast.

Meeting Location

We’ll be staying and meeting at the Antler’s Hilton Hotel in downtown Colorado Springs.  Reservations will be made for you; however, you should let Janice know your preference for smoking or non-smoking, or other special needs (901/748-9318).  The airport does not offer a shuttle from the airport, but you can take a cab or later we’ll try to arrange for those with rental cars to provide rides for our group.

Click here for information on the Antlers Hilton.

Travel to Colorado Springs

You can fly into the Colorado Springs airport, or into Denver.  The Denver airport is about 1-hour and 20-minutes from our hotel in Colorado Springs.

Please plan to arrive on Sunday evening, June 12th, and to depart on Saturday morning, June 18th.  If you’d like to rent a car, feel free to do so (the expense will be the responsibility of your department).  There is not a big need for a car once you arrive at the hotel.  There are a number of good restaurants within walking distance of the hotel; however, if a few of you have cars we should also be able to go to other restaurants in the area as well.

Expenses

All travel expenses (airfare, hotel bills, food while traveling, breakfasts, dinners, and all miscellaneous travel expenses) are to be paid for by each participant and then submitted as a reimbursable expense, to be approved by your supervisor.  These expenses will be paid out of your department’s budget.  VP University will provide lunch each day, as well as the graduation dinner.

Meeting Logistics

We will be meeting from about 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday, with Wednesday afternoon off.  There will be a graduation dinner on Friday night.

Personal Development Goal

Remember to bring 25 copies of your “3-Column Goal Worksheet” for a goal progress report.  That form is available on the VP University website.  See VPU Forms in the index.
